  • What measures do you take to ensure hygiene and safety?
    We follow strict hygiene protocols including sanitizing all tools and surfaces between clients and washing hands frequently. We also ask that clients wear masks and reschedule if they are feeling unwell.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
    We require at least 48 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling. A fee is applied for late cancellations or no-shows. We charge a cancellation fee of 30% of the service fee if you do not cancel your appointment within 48 hours. Failure to cancel will result in a no-show fee, which is the forfeiture of your deposit. No exceptions. Late fee is $15, and is applicable if you are more than 20 minutes late to your appointment.
  • Can I wash my hair while it is braided?
    Yes, you can wash your hair while it is braided. Use a diluted shampoo and focus on cleansing your scalp. You can also book an ACV Rinse with Black Lotus Braid Lounge or a Luxe Shampoo Service. Be sure to rinse thoroughly and dry your braids completely to prevent mildew or odor.
  • How can I book an appointment?

  • How long can I keep my braids in?
    Typically, braids can be kept in for 6-8 weeks. It's important to not exceed this duration to maintain healthy hair and scalp. Black Lotus Braid Lounge offers Braid Take Down Service for all our clients who have booked a braid service with us. If your braids are older than 8 weeks, we may elect to not provide the take down service.
  • How should I care for my braids?
    Keep your scalp moisturized, avoid excessive tension on your braids, and wrap your hair at night with a silk or satin scarf or bonnet, to reduce frizz. You can also use a light oil to keep your braids looking fresh.You can book a Braid Refresh service with Black Lotus Braid Lounge to keep your braids looking fresh.
  • How should I prepare for my braiding appointment?
    Please wash and detangle your hair before your appointment. Ensure that your hair is free of any heavy products and completely dry. We suggest booking a shampoo service or braid take down service at Black Lotus Braid Lounge to alleviate the pressures of pre-appointment preparation. If you are an active Loyalty Member, a regular shampoo service is included with most braid and twist installs.
  • Do you offer services for children?
    We offer services to kids who are 8-12 years of age or older.
  • Do you offer any discounts or promotions?
    Yes, we offer various promotions throughout the year. Follow us on social media or sign up for our newsletter to stay updated on our latest deals and discounts. We offer exclusive discounts and offers to our Lotus Members, including private shopping events on products, birthday offers, and even private appointments.
  • How long does a braiding appointment typically take?
    The duration of your appointment depends on the style you choose. Simple styles like cornrows can take 1-2 hours, while more intricate styles like box braids or Senegalese twists can take 4-8 hours.
  • Can I bring my own hair extensions?
    Yes, you are welcome to bring your own hair extensions. We also have a variety of high-quality hair extensions available for purchase at the salon. We do offer bulk hair for boho styles. You must purchase your hair separately before the appointment via our website or in person in the store. Please be sure we have the length in stock prior to booking your appointment. Sometimes we may have to order the length you need and therefore the shipping time will need to be considered before booking your appointment. We will not cut the hair off the weft for you, so we suggest purchasing bulk human hair which is meant for braiding. Black Lotus Braid Lounge offers weft options as well as bulk hair options.
  • What should I do if my scalp feels itchy or irritated?
    Use an anti-itch spray or natural oils like tea tree oil or rosemary oil to soothe your scalp. Feel free to book an Braid Refresh service, to give your scalp some relief.
  • What types of braiding services do you offer?
    We offer a variety of braiding styles including box braids, cornrows, Senegalese twists, faux locs, goddess braids, feed-in braids, and more. If you have a specific style in mind, feel free to ask by contacting our salon customer service by calling 770.609.7750.
  • What are your prices?
    Prices vary depending on the style and length of the braids. For a detailed price list, please visit our booking website by selecting the Book Now button on our salon website.
  • What payment methods do you accept?
    We accept cashless pay, credit/debit cards, and mobile payment options like Apple Pay and Google Pay. We do require a deposit at the time of booking. If you paid your deposit in cash, and you plan on paying in cash, you must pay for your service via Zelle or Cash App using the QR code located at the pay station within the salon. If you do not pay the deposit on the same day of booking, your appointment will be cancelled.
  • Do you accept walk-ins?
    We highly recommend booking an appointment to ensure availability, we do not accept walk-ins.
